Turkey Day

Leaving the Indomitable Frenchies™ in the dust using the awesome power of internal combustion (all of which has been carbon offset, by the way), I returned to Athens to take the overnight ferry to Crete. But first, Thanksgiving was in order. I emailed the US embassy to ask about any deep state sponsored dinners and was unironically told that I should go to the Hard Rock Cafe. So that's what @nick.youngman and I did, with self-awareness and cautious optimism. It turned out to be delicious and authentic.

Off to Crete, I spent the next week riding hard and all but circumnavigating Greece's largest island. Crete was the homeland of the Minoan civilization, which predates the ancient Greek society with which we are most familiar. I was joined by @vontonos and a couple other riders who showed me some tasty roads. As you can hear in some of the videos, the wind in Crete is intense and tends to dictate the climate du jour. Southerly (African) winds are quite warm, whereas the northerly gusts are chilly. If you don't care for motorcycle content, then please skip this post (and take a moment to reconsider your priorities).
